The simplest of dinners, oven-baked Italian sausage with onions is an underrated meal. It's quick, easy, incredibly delicious and pairs with any sides for a complete meal.
Spray the baking dish with cooking spray (optional) and place the sausages in the dish, an inch apart.
Cooking spray, 5 Italian sausages
Once the oven is heated place the baking dish with the sausages in the oven for 15 minutes.
While the sausages are baking, peel and slice the onions into 1/8-inch slices.
2 small onion
When the timer goes off, take the sausages out of the oven and flip them. Then top with the onion slices and place back in the oven for another 20-25 minutes depending on how browned you want the onions.
Remove from the oven and serve with your favourite sides.
