Easy Mango Salsa Recipe

This is truly the best easy mango salsa. It’s a little bit sweet, a little bit sour and has whole lot of flavour. It makes a great topping for seafood and a great dip for tortilla chips.

  • 2 mangoes
  • ¼ cup red bell pepper or yellow or orange – about a 1/3 of a pepper
  • 1 tbsp cilantro
  • 1 tbsp red onion
  • 2 ½ tsp lime juice about half a lime
  • ¼ tsp chili powder optional
  • ¼ tsp cumin optional
  • ¼ tsp salt
  • Pinch ground black pepper

Instructions
 

  • Remove the flesh from the mango pit and dice it into ¼-inch pieces. Scoop the flesh out of the skin using a soup spoon.

  • Wash and dice the pepper into similar size pieces.
    ¼ cup red bell pepper
  • Peel and dice the onion.
    1 tbsp red onion
  • Wash and chop the fresh cilantro and juice half a lime.
    1 tbsp cilantro, 2 ½ tsp lime juice
  • Add all the ingredients to a small bowl including the spices and mix well. This salsa is best once it sits for a bit for all the flavours to marry.
    ¼ tsp chili powder, ¼ tsp cumin, ¼ tsp salt, Pinch ground black pepper
  • Serve with your favourite seafood, as a dip with chips or in tacos.
