This simple butter lettuce salad is so light and tasty that it will leave you wanting more and more. The creamy dressing is slightly sweet and a bit sharp creating the perfect balance of flavours and textures.
Wash the butter lettuce and chop if the leaves are too large. I like to leave them whole. Dry the leaves using a salad spinner or air dry on a towel.
1 head of Boston lettuce
Next, make the dressing. Combine the remaining ingredients in a small bowl. Stir well until all the sugar has dissolved.
½ cup sour cream, ½ tbsp sugar, ¼ tsp salt, ¼ tsp ground black pepper, ½ tsp water
Add the lettuce to a large bowl. If you choose to add herbs, wash and chop them and top the lettuce. Drizzle the dressing over the lettuce and toss gently.
Fresh dill, Fresh parsley
Serve as a side to your favourite meal.
