Homemade Italian Salad Dressing (and Sub Sauce) Recipe

Forget the store-bought dressing, this homemade Italian Salad Dressing is very easy to make with ingredients you already have at home. It's quick, easy and delicious.

Ingredients
 
 

  • ¼ cup olive oil
  • 2 tbsp apple cider vinegar
  • 1 tsp sugar
  • 1 tsp Italian seasoning
  • ¼ tsp onion powder
  • ¼ tsp salt
  • 1 tbsp mayonnaise

Instructions
 

  • Combine all of the ingredients in a small mason jar.
    ¼ cup olive oil, 2 tbsp apple cider vinegar, 1 tsp sugar, 1 tsp Italian seasoning, ¼ tsp onion powder, ¼ tsp salt, 1 tbsp mayonnaise
  • Close the jar and shake well to emulsify the dressing.
  • Serve over your favourite salad or in a sandwich.

Note 1: Recipe yields 1/2 cup of dressing. 1 serving is assumed to be 2 tablespoons suitable for a side salad.
