Open a can of black beans, drain and rinse under cold water. Add a third, up to half, of the can to a food processor or blender. Set the other half aside.

Next prep the veggies. Dice the onion and red bell pepper into small pieces. Add to the food processor or blender.

Now add all the spices, egg and bread crumbs and blend until all ingredients are mixed.
½ tbsp dried coriander, 1 tbsp paprika, ½ tsp smoked paprika, ¼ tsp salt, ¼ tsp pepper, ½ tsp garlic powder, 1 tsp dried oregano, 1 egg, 2 tbsp bread crumbs
Add the remaining beans to the blender and stir using a spatula. You may choose to move the mixture and the whole beans to a medium bowl at this point.

Put the flour in a small bowl.

Divide the black bean mixture into 4 and make patties out of each quarter. Dredge each patty in the flour on both sides and set it aside.
Heat up the oil in a large skillet. Once hot add the burgers to the pan.

Fry for 5 minutes on each side on medium heat.
Serve on a bun, on lettuce or just eat it on its own with a side salad.
